Hololive Production recently announced that Watson Ameliafirst generation member of Hololive English, will conclude all channel activities by September 30, 2024. This includes their regular broadcasts on platforms like YouTube, their social media presence, participation in live events, and new product launches.

Since her debut in 2020 as part of the founding generation of Hololive English, known as Hololive English -Myth-, Watson Amelia has been a pillar in the international VTuber community. Your exclusive content and participation in activities beyond livestreams have been instrumental in expanding VTuber culture outside of Japan. Even if your channel becomes inactive, Hololive confirmed that Amelia will remain affiliated with the agency, leaving open the possibility of future appearances at special events or collaborations.

Merchandise already on sale will continue to be sold, and any future Watson Amelia activities will be announced via Hololive's official social media channels. The agency also asked fans to refrain from contacting other talent regarding this announcement and deeply thanked everyone for their support.

Following the official announcement, Watson Amelia shared a touching message with her followers:

  • «Thank you all again for the warm wishes. I'm not sure what to say... I thought I'd keep my composure during the announcement, try to be positive, but just remember all the wonderful times we had... I'm sorry for the rough timing. I wish I had told you sooner, or maybe my words weren't the best... It's unfamiliar territory, so I hope the official statement helps clarify things: I'm very grateful to be part of Hololive's history! Remember to rest if you can and drink water. Thank you!».

  • «Amelia-san, thank you for your long years of broadcasting activities.».
  • «Does that mean it's not a graduation?».
  • «Does stopping streaming mean you'll still be performing at Cover events as a talent? Will you be appearing at festivals or live concerts?».
  • «I respect Amelia-san's decision, I hope she is filled with happiness in the future.».
  • «It's not graduation for Ame-chan! Even if her activities slow down, I'm relieved to know that we'll still have the opportunity to see her as a Hololive talent. I'm very happy about that.».
