10 Fights Tanjiro Only Won Because of Plot Armor in Demon Slayer
Much like other shonen protagonists, Demon Slayer's Tanjiro has a lot of plot armor, and as such, he's won some of the most grueling fights because of it.
Lady Tamayo's Origins, Powers, and Relationships
Lady Tamayo's origins and true powers were only hinted at when she appeared at the beginning of Demon Slayerstory, but over time, fans learned the full truth about how she became a demon and what it means for her. Tamayo is one of the oldest demons in existence, having been born at least 500 years before the Taisho era in which the main story takes place. She fell ill as an adult and, in desperation, accepted a "cure" from Muzan Kibutuji, who actually transformed her into a demon, like him.
Driven by this newfound power, Tamayo caused a rampage in her hometown, claiming many victims in the process, including her husband and children. Tamayo was devastated, but she lacked the power to kill Muzan in retaliation for what he had done to her. At some point, trapped in despair, Tamayo became Muzan's reluctant servant, powerless to defeat him alone. Then she witnessed Yoriichi Tsugikuni confront and nearly kill Muzan as a demon slayer, giving Tamayo hope that Muzan might one day be defeated after all.
Tamayo and Yoriichi established a truce as demon and slayer, and Tamayo began searching for ways to control her demonic hunger and make something of her life as a demon. After two centuries, Tamayo became a skilled physician and began to sustain herself solely on human blood, ensuring she never had to kill anyone to stay alive. She had survived on corpses and animals until then, but consuming blood from willing donors was preferable and became her norm.
Some time later, Tamayo met a dying human boy named Yushiro, and she used body modifications to transform him into a demon to help him survive. This was a rare instance of the transformation process being used to help someone, rather than just creating another violent minion for Muzan, allowing Tamayo to take her first steps toward bridging the gap between humans and demons as a benevolent healer. Tamayo is quite reclusive in the current story. Demon Slayerbeing devoted to her medicinal practices and being unable to go out into the sunlight to mingle with human society.

10 Best Episodes of Demon Slayer (So Far)
Over the course of three seasons, fans have watched Tanjiro, Nezuko, and the others overcome many obstacles with fantastic fights and shocking twists.
Still, Tamayo has some notable relationships, beginning with her bond with Muzan. Contrary to her outwardly gentle and caring manner, Tamayo harbors an intense hatred and resentment toward Muzan Kibutsuji, the demon king, and would love nothing more than to see him destroyed. She will never forgive him for what he did to her or for what he indirectly caused her to do to her family. On a more positive note, Tayamo gets along well with her assistant Yushiro, who is in love with her and fiercely loyal to his doctor friend.
Tayamo is also friends with the two Kamados and shows solidarity with them, perhaps seeing herself in Nezuko Kamado. Tamayo's relationship with the Kamados allows her to show Demon Slayer fans of her capabilities as a doctor. Tamayo not only cares for human patients in Tokyo, she can and will help the Kamados cure Nezuko's demon status, and she is Tanjiro's only real guide in this quest. Tamayo understands human and demon physiology better than anyone, so she was the one who devised a plan to synthesize a cure for Nezuko Kamado.
If Tanjiro can collect enough blood samples from powerful demons, like the Upper Moons, then Tamayo can do the rest and finish curing Nezuko. But that's not all—Tamayo also has skills with demonic poisons, which is why a Kasugai crow was sent to recruit Tamayo in the season 4 premiere. Tamayo was asked to help Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira, develop new, stronger poisons to defeat the remaining Upper Moons.

Tamayo represents hope and love as she bridges the gap between humans and demons.
Lady Tamayo has a practical role to play Demon Slayeris the story of the anime, and that's why the anime's story introduced her from the beginning, even before Tanjiro met Zenitsu and Inosuke. Only a demonic doctor like Lady Tamayo could develop a cure for Nezuko Kamado, hence her early introduction, but that's not all. Tamayo also plays a symbolic role in the story, which gives Demon Slayer fans expect about humans and demons.
In the end, Demon Slayer is a shonen action anime, and such an anime is expected to have uplifting and inspiring themes about the power of friendship, forgiveness, and hope. Even though almost all demons are hostile to humanity and view them as helpless prey, it is still possible for some demons to retain their humanity and overcome the hunger and darkness within them. All demons were once human, but only the kindest and most emotionally strong can retain that human core.
Nezuko Kamado is the prime example of this, resisting her own demonic hunger when it turned against her brother in Demon Slayerfirst episode. Muzan had just massacred the Kamados and turned Nezuko into a demon, but she was also a loving sister who couldn't bring herself to harm Tanjiro, even when her instincts led her to act. Nezuko's restraint not only made Tanjiro's quest possible, but also provided a strong emotional core and gave Tanjiro a personal reason to keep fighting as a kind shonen hero. Thus, Nezuko bridged the human and demon worlds, never harming or eating people and instead fighting demons alongside her brother. And even if Demon Slayer fans don't always see this, Tamayo embodies this even better than Nezuko.

Every Demon Slayer Arc, In Order
Demon Slayer is one of the most popular modern anime and manga series, and each of its 12 story arcs only improves on the previous one.
Unlike Nezuko, Tamayo actually killed several people while becoming a demon, including her own family, and this had a profound effect on her. She could have continued like this and started killing unsavory humans, like criminals and thugs, to satisfy her hunger, but evidently she didn't, because she didn't allow herself to. Tamayo overcame even greater trauma and despair than Nezuko in her quest to reinvent herself as a kind person, displaying incredible willpower and hope that the Kamados can only hope to emulate.
And instead of fighting demons with a human ally, Tamayo dedicated herself to studying medicine to save lives that even Nezuko and Tanjiro couldn't, and built an entire career out of it. It's a noble humanitarian cause that Tamayo strongly identifies with, giving her a place in the world she wouldn't otherwise have. In this sense, Tamayo shows that good people can come together and help each other, regardless of their species or background, and that's an inspiring message for any anime fan to see.
Tamayo works not only to survive but to champion a cause greater than herself, and countless people owe their lives to her, including Yushiro. Furthermore, although the war against Muzan's demons has been raging for centuries, there is now hope that the conflict will finally end and that human society can heal. As powerful new heroes emerge and technology advances, demons fall further behind, no matter their power, and are doomed to extermination. Humanity will prevail, and that means Tamayo has chosen the right side in the divide between demons and humans.
Hope and kindness will triumph over cruelty and hunger, and Tamayo will surely be spared after the last of the demons are exterminated. She is a hero in every way that counts, proving that this is not exactly a battle between humans and demons, but between good and evil, allowing Tamayo and Nezuko to bridge the divide between humans and demons.
