In his new form, Satoru encounters the dragon Veldora, a catastrophic-level monster who was sealed for 300 years after destroying a city. Sympathizing with the dragon's plight, Satoru promises to help him break the seal. In return, Veldora names him Rimuru Tempest and grants him divine protection. Now free from the monotony of his past life, Rimuru begins a new adventure with a clear purpose in mind. As he grows accustomed to his new body, his actions begin to impact the world, gradually changing his destiny.
