A popular French YouTuber has captured his love for “One piece”To new heights, literally. Inoxtag, a 22-year-old content creator and streamer, managed to climb Mount Everest wearing Monkey D. Luffy's iconic straw hat. This impressive feat was celebrated by the anime fan community, who praised his bravery and sense of style in channeling Luffy's energy during his adventure.

Inoxtag, whose real name is Inès Benazzouz, has shared on several occasions the great influence that “One Piece” had on her life. In fact, his epic expedition to Everest is documented in his film titled "Kaizen," which refers to the Japanese concept of continuous improvement. The film's trailer, released on August 31st, makes multiple references to Luffy and his hat, highlighting the profound impact the character and the series had on the young creator.
Fans were quick to react to his achievement on social media. On Twitter, several users joked that "it took him less time to climb Everest than Luffy to reach the top," while others expressed their hope that One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda would include him in the Straw Hat crew. Some have crowned him the “King of the Hills” or “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time), praising both his documentary and his impressive achievement.
Inoxtag openly confirmed that “One Piece” was one of his biggest inspirations, and in an interview he mentioned that if Oda saw his documentary, he would like to thank him for making him believe that dreams can come true. With over 8 million subscribers on YouTube, the young creator has proven himself to be one of the most charismatic and adventurous personalities on the platform.
The documentary “Kaizen” premiered in cinemas across France and French-speaking territories on September 13, supported by the French cinema group MK2. Most surprisingly, after its theatrical release, Inoxtag decided to share the film for free on YouTube the following day, rejecting offers from payment platforms. According to MK2, this was the first time a film had been released for free on the video platform the day after its theatrical release, a gesture Inoxtag made to share its adventure with its community.
The documentary has been a success, with more than 350,000 tickets sold in a single day, becoming a landmark in alternative programming in France. This achievement not only reinforces the enormous influence of “One Piece” on the lives of its fans, but also Inoxtag's ability to inspire millions with its incredible journey.
