Leaks from the next issue of the magazine Hana to Yume<\/strong> confirmed that the popular manga written and illustrated by Mizuho Kusanagi<\/strong>, Akatsuki no Yona<\/strong> (Yona of the Dawn<\/em>), will reach its climax with its December 5th chapter in the same magazine. This is an incredible announcement. considering that it is one of the magazine's flagship works<\/strong>after its serialization for over fourteen years to date.<\/p>\n

Mizuho Kusanagi began publishing the manga through the magazine Hana to Yume<\/strong> from the publisher Hakusensha<\/strong> in August 2009 and continues to be published to this day. The work inspired a twenty-four-episode anime adaptation and three OVAs, produced by Pierrot Studio<\/strong> and released during the season Fall 2014 (October-December)<\/strong>. So far there is no information about any sequel.<\/p>\n

Synopsis of Akatsuki no Yona<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The kingdom of Kouka has been blessed with a beautiful princess whose childlike innocence enchants all who meet her. Named Yona, she grew up sheltered in the royal palace, safe from any danger that might threaten her. However, all good things must come to an end. Yona's perfect world crumbles when a heinous act of betrayal threatens to erase everything she holds dear, including her birthright as the princess of Kouka. With no one to trust except her childhood friend and loyal bodyguard, Son Hak, she is forced to flee the palace.<\/em><\/p>\n

Faced with the dangers of surviving in the jungle with a target on her back, Yona realizes that her kingdom is no longer the safe haven it once was. Freed from the shackles of naivet\u00e9, Yona vows to do everything in her power to become strong enough to crush her enemies. With Hak at her side, she must piece together the remnants of an ancient legend that may hold the key to reclaiming her kingdom from those who conspired to steal it.<\/em><\/p>\n
