There is no doubt that \u201cSleep Doll Bisque wa Koi wo Suru<\/strong> (My dressing darling<\/em>)\u201d is one of the most popular romantic comedies of recent years, especially after its successful anime adaptation produced by the studios CloverWorks<\/strong>. Although, It seems like the \u201ccomedy\u201d aspect was forgotten for several episodes<\/strong>and fans of the work began to despair with the way author Shinichi Fukuda is dealing with the current arc.<\/p>\n

After a successful appearance at Comiket during the Mandate of Heaven Arc, Marin Kitagawa received a job offer to become a professional cosplayer.<\/strong> (although evidently the offer does not include Wakana Gojo's participation). On the other hand, Gojo inexplicably felt that he was losing Kitagawa (something difficult to explain, precisely because he still does not know about the offer they made to Kitagawa), causing a dark expression to appear on his face and he began to walk away from her.<\/p>\n

What's more, the most recent chapters brought back Non-chan, the girl who traumatized Gojo in his childhood, telling him that his taste in dolls was "disgusting", and pushing him away.<\/strong> In fact, we also learn that Non-chan was always by Gojo's side throughout his childhood (specifically after his parents' death), trying to make him happy. When she discovered that the Hina dolls had achieved this for Gojo, she couldn't help but feel jealous and, following her childish impulses from that time, said those hurtful words.<\/p>\n

In the most recent chapter, we finally got to see this cycle complete, with Non-chan showing up at Gojo's house and asking for forgiveness for what he said.<\/strong> This finally motivated Gojo to do what he should have done months (many episodes) ago: talk to Marin directly. And that's when the scene that made the latest chapter go viral comes in. Well, when Gojo asks Marin what cosplay she wants him to do next, she says she doesn't need him anymore.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Obviously, there's a bit of context that Gojo doesn't know but readers do, which is that Marin realized that Gojo's helping her all this time had greatly affected her hina doll-making abilities.<\/strong> This isn't just his dream, but Gojo hopes to prove to his grandfather that he's ready to take over the family business before he dies. This leaves Marin completely devastated, realizing that all this time she's been nothing more than "an obstacle to Gojo's dreams."<\/p>\n

This would all be resolved if the two of them actually talked about it (and they have excuses, as they have both been acting "weird" around each other), but that hasn't happened. Fans' criticism is precisely about this fact, as they believe the author has already extracted a lot from this drama.<\/strong> and considering that he changed the serialization of \u201cSono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru\u201d from biweekly to monthly, they expected the matter to have been resolved months ago.<\/p>\n
