An example of this is the video of an event that took place at the famous <strong>Anime Expo<\/strong> in Los Angeles, where a cosplayer performs in a cosplay of<strong> Kana Arima <\/strong>from the popular anime <strong>Oshi no Ko<\/strong>in which many bad comments were found regarding otakus.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Otakus are criticized for a video that became popular at an event during AnimeExpo<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/animangeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/arima-kana-oshi-no-ko-1200x675.jpeg\" alt=\"Oshi No Ko atrasar\u00e1 o pr\u00f3ximo cap\u00edtulo em uma semana\" class=\"wp-image-328955\" title=\"Anime Fans Get Taunted on the Internet Again 2\"  \/><\/noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/animangeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/arima-kana-oshi-no-ko-1200x675.jpeg\" alt=\"Oshi No Ko atrasar\u00e1 o pr\u00f3ximo cap\u00edtulo em uma semana\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-328955\" title=\"Anime Fans Get Taunted on the Internet Again 2\"  data-><\/figure>\n<p>This \u201ccontroversial\u201d video comes from the cosplayer\u2019s Instagram account <strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C9VxRo6SlVC\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=embed_video_watch_again\">@hamu_cotton<\/a><\/strong>where she is doing a cosplay performance as Kana Arima, one of the beautiful waifus from the popular anime \u201cOshi no Ko\u201d, in this performance she is dancing to the song <strong>\u00abL0li Requiem of God\u00bb<\/strong> performed by VTuber <strong>Ui Shigure<\/strong> which went quite viral on social media last year and was composed as a way of attacking older men who like to consume inappropriate material about minors.<\/p>\n<p>In this short video that <strong>cosplayer<\/strong> He tells us about his performance at the convention. We also see a group of fans, also in cosplay, reacting to the aforementioned dance, screaming and throwing themselves to the ground. This action generated several negative reactions from online users, who expressed their discontent in the comments section. These types of comments said things like, &quot;Imagine the smell in there,&quot; &quot;I can&#039;t even imagine the smell,&quot; &quot;Why can I smell it even through the phone?&quot; &quot;Those who clean deserve a promotion.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Another thing that was mentioned a lot is that the problem isn&#039;t really that people like the <strong>anime<\/strong> and it&#039;s not that people hate this kind of story, but what bothers them is this kind of story. <strong>\u201cotaku\u201d<\/strong> that cause people&#039;s displeasure. One social media user even gave the example of how many athletes were seen as anime fans during the 2024 Paris Olympics, but their behavior wasn&#039;t as exaggerated as, for example, that of the people in the video.<\/p>\n<p>Even with the number of people who made these types of very negative comments about this event that was attended by many <strong>otaku<\/strong>There were also many people who came to the defense of people who, in reality, did nothing wrong other than enjoy an activity related to one of their hobbies. For example, some comments said things like, &quot;Why are they making fun of them? They&#039;re just enjoying a hobby.&quot; They&#039;re just being happy.
