While the titles were expected to make the list due to their disturbing or violent episodes, <strong>The presence of \u201cDragon Ball\u201d was what surprised internet users the most.<\/strong> Akira Toriyama&#039;s work is known worldwide for its epic combat scenes, but it is not usually considered a disturbing or traumatic anime.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" src=\"http:\/\/animangeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/106\/2024\/09\/Dragon-Ball-traumatizou-alguns-japoneses.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-336957\"  \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9 \u30d4\u30f3\u30ba\u30d0NEWS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The results of the research were as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Warau Salesman (\u7b11\u30a5\u305b\u3047\u308b\u3059\u307e\u3093)<\/strong> \u2013 10.0% \u2013 A series about a strange salesman who grants his customers&#039; wishes, but always with disturbing consequences. It focuses on human frailty and has a dark tone.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jigoku Sensei Cloud (\u5730\u7344\u5148\u751f\u306c\u301c\u3079\u301c)<\/strong> \u2013 9.0% \u2013 An elementary school teacher with supernatural powers protects his students from evil spirits. It&#039;s incredibly moving and heartbreaking to watch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Youkai Ningen Bem (\u5996\u602a\u4eba\u9593\u30d9\u30e0)<\/strong> \u2013 6.0% \u2013 It&#039;s about three monstrous beings who fight evil and seek to become human. The character designs and dark atmosphere made it a shocking anime.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hokuto no Ken (\u5317\u6597\u306e\u62f3 \/ The Fist of the North Star)<\/strong> \u2013 6.0% \u2013 A post-apocalyptic anime full of violence, where the protagonist uses a deadly martial art to face his enemies. The fight scenes and dark atmosphere can be disturbing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dragon Ball (\u30c9\u30e9\u30b4\u30f3\u30dc\u30fc\u30eb)<\/strong> \u2013 5.0% \u2013 Although it is an adventure and comedy series, some moments or villains (like Frieza or Majin Boo) can be traumatic for children.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nihon Mukashi Banashi Manga (\u307e\u3093\u304c\u65e5\u672c\u6614\u3070\u306a\u3057)<\/strong> \u2013 4.0% \u2013 Anthology of Japanese folktales. Although it has a lighter tone, some of the monsters and supernatural situations were terrifying.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kinnikuman (\u30ad\u30f3\u8089\u30de\u30f3)<\/strong> \u2013 4.0% \u2013 Fighter series that has comical moments, but the battles can be intense and violent, impacting children.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gakkou no Kowai Uwasa: Hanako-san ga Kita!! (\u5b66\u6821\u306e\u30b3\u30ef\u30a4\u3046\u308f\u3055\u82b1\u5b50\u3055\u3093\u304c\u304d\u305f!!)<\/strong> \u2013 4.0% \u2013 Series based on Japanese urban legends, including that of Hanako-san, a ghost who lives in school bathrooms. The atmosphere and stories can be quite disturbing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The general surprise was evident in the comments circulating on Japanese forums. One user didn&#039;t hesitate to express his confusion: &quot;<em><strong>Why is Dragon Ball on the list\u2026?<\/strong><\/em>\u201d; to which another responded by mentioning <strong>some of the most shocking scenes in the series, like Krillin&#039;s death or the moment Vegeta eats an alien&#039;s arm<\/strong>These moments, while memorable, are typically not associated with the childhood trauma one would normally expect from the category.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the most notable comments were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00ab<em>What trauma? I&#039;m laughing!<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>The episode of <em>Satchan<\/em> in Crayon Shin-chan was really scary<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>The same goes for Teke-Teke in the cloud. Those &quot;he might come to your house too&quot; episodes are a dirty trick, come to think of it.<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>Why Dragon Ball\u2026?<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>Possibly because of the way Kuririn dies<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>Maybe they&#039;re referring to when Vegeta ate an alien&#039;s arm.<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>Kinnikuman has several very strong scenes in terms of representation<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>The crush scene in Akira left me traumatized<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>I don&#039;t remember what kind of monster it was, but in an episode of Hanako-san, the boy was eaten right in front of Hanako-san when she came to save him, and it was devastating. I thought everything was resolved when she showed up, so I didn&#039;t understand what had happened.<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>Why isn&#039;t Nadia on the list? The scene where the crew is quarantined and one of them dies alone, or when we learn that Nadia&#039;s brother has been transformed into a mechanical being.<\/em>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<li>\u00ab<em>It wasn&#039;t a trauma, but the Angel Beats! episode where Yui-nyan disappears felt so rushed, it left me in shock, and I couldn&#039;t sleep that night. I thought it was an amazing series up until that point.
