In One pieceThere are four types of weapons, or 'Meito'. These are: Graded Weapons, Skilled-Grade Weapons, Grand-Grade Weapons, and Supreme-Grade Weapons. These weapons are essentially named after those that are stronger and more durable than any regular ammunition used by most of the world, and the higher one is on the Meito list, the stronger and rarer they become.
Ultimate Weapons are, as their name suggests, the rarest and most powerful weapons in the entire setting. They are so elusive that only 12 exist in the entire world, of which only 4 have been confirmed, and a few others have been speculated. Befitting their legendary nature and power, three of these confirmed Ultimate Weapons belong to some of the most powerful characters in history: Gol D. Roger's cleaver named Ace, Whitebeard's naginata named Murakumogiri, and Mihawk's sword named Yoru. The fourth confirmed weapon, the Shodai Kitetsu, whose whereabouts are unknown.
Each of these characters has proven to exist on a completely different level of strength, and their weapons have certainly helped them achieve such heights of infamy. However, there are still some extremely powerful weapons that exist in the hands of some of them. A piece strongest characters, but it is unknown whether they are Supreme Grade or not.
One of them is Shanks's Gryphon sword, a legendary sword that was able to collide with Whitebeard's preferred weapon, creating an impact that split the heavens. It is unknown whether Gryphon is an Ultimate Grade or if it was simply Shanks's mastery of Haki that allowed him to do so. Another possible weapon is Elder Nusjuro's sword, which many believe to be the legendary Shodai Kitetsu, a cursed blade that has been confirmed as an Ultimate Grade weapon, but has yet to be confirmed.

Will Zoro wield a supreme grade sword?
Since his introduction, Zoro has been driven by the desire to become the world's greatest swordsman due to a promise he made to his childhood friend, Kuina. As his journey with the Straw Hat Pirates continued, Zoro realized he needed to make his dream a reality not only to fulfill his promise to Kuina, but also to be worthy of his best friend Luffy when he became the Pirate King.
With such lofty ambitions, it's easy to assume that Zoro will eventually wield a Supreme Grade Sword. As the battles ahead grow more difficult and the opponents become more formidable, Zoro must do everything he can to increase his strength, and fighting with a Supreme Grade Sword will surely propel him to the upper echelons of power. However, wielding such a weapon isn't necessary for Zoro to become so strong.
If I die here, then I will be a man who could only make it this far.
This is because, while powerful characters like Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard possessed such weapons, not all legendary fighters did. Silvers Rayleigh was Roger's second-in-command and is an immensely powerful character due to his mastery of different types of Haki. While the subject of much speculation, Rayleigh's sword has not been confirmed as an Ultimate Grade Weapon.
Even so, Zoro was raised to eventually call one of these legendary weapons his own. This is because he began his journey with one Grand-Grade Blade and two Skill-Grade Blades, but throughout his journey, he frequently added new weapons to his arsenal that were stronger than his previous ones. Currently, Zoro wields two Grand-Grade swords: the Wado Ichimonji and Enma, along with the Sandai Kitetsu, which is a Graded Sword.
The ultimate rank Zoro can obtain:
There are a few different ways Zoro can wield a Supreme Grade Sword. One is by finding one or wielding one that previously belonged to someone else. Considering his use of traditional katana swords, the only possible candidate that fits the criteria is the Shodai Kitetsu, whose whereabouts are unknown, but it is speculated to be in the possession of one of the Five Elders, Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro.
Transmit my will to this blade… now let's see if I can cut through steel.
However, the most likely way for Zoro to wield a Supreme Grade Sword is through Enma's darkening process. It has been stated that a weapon's rank can increase once it has 'darkened' with more use, which appears to be what Zoro's final sword, Enma, appears to be doing. A legendary blade once owned by the legendary Kozuki Oden, Enma has the unique ability to extract its wielder's Haki, which can combine Zoro's Armament and Conqueror's Haki to make him incredibly powerful, elevating him to the rank of Supreme. Note.
